Emergency Response

When you call 911, no matter what the emergency, we deploy the closest available resource to ensure you get the support you need as soon as possible. Whether it’s a residential fire, a car accident on the freeway, a trench rescue, an individual experiencing cardiac arrest, or a hazardous material emergency, we are equipped to respond within minutes.

With seven fire stations spread around the Park City area, we are able to direct emergency calls to the closest station, with the most pertinent equipment, right away. As well, we are always improving response time and constantly training our staff to respond appropriately, safely, and quickly to any emergency.

Emergency Response Services

Fire Suppression & Investigations

The PCFD is always prepared to fight fires. Our priorities are three-life safety is always first, conservation of property second, and stabilizing the overall incident third.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Our firefighters are all trained, at a minimum, as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), however the majority of our responders are licensed as Advanced EMT or as paramedics. Combining the strength of our team along with state-of-art equipment, the PCFD provides the very best in emergency medical response.

Rescue Teams

We are ready and equipped to respond to wide variety of emergencies. Our firefighters have advanced training in backcountry rescue, confined space rescue, trench rescue, large vehicle extrication, ice rescue and more.

Hazmat Team

Our hazardous materials team is composed of firefighters with advanced training in toxic and hazardous materials.

Local Emergency Planning

The PCFD actively participates in planning and operations for Hazardous Materials and Homeland Security by working with the Summit County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).
